IBPS PO Common Interview from 14th January 2013



Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) had announced the much awaited Dates for IBPS PO Common Interview. It has been decided by IBPS to conduct the Common Interviews from 14th January 2013 and Onwards. This Notification for the IBPS PO Common Interview is Published in some of the Leading Newspapers of the Country Dated 12-12-2012.


IBPS Common Interview Announcement : Time is Crucial !

 It is worth mentioning here that exactly one year back on the same Date (ie 12-12-2011) IBPS PO-1 results were announced. This means that Qualified candidates in the First IBPS PO Exam will no longer be eligible to apply for Jobs in 19 Public Sector Banks, as the Scorecards are valid for 1 year and validity expires on 12-12-2012.

Now, it looks pre planned that IBPS will announce the Dates for the Common Interviews, once the Validity of Scorecards of IBPS PO-1 Qualifiers expires and exactly the same thing has happened.


Important Points in the IBPS PO Common Interview Notification.

  • Only those candidates who have been declared Successful in the IBPS (PO/MT) CWE held on 17th June, 2012 are eligible to appear.
  • The IBPS PO Common Interviews will commence from 14th January, 2013.
  • Candidates will be informed about the Date, Time and venue of the Interview through SMS and Email that they have registered in the IBPS PO Online Application form.
  • Candidates can Download their Call Letters from the IBPS Offcial Website from 1st Week of January, 2013 (To be exact 01-01-2013)
  • IBPS will obtain the preference of banks from the candidates through a Registration process on the IBPS Offcial Website.
  • After conducting the Common Interviews, IBPS will announce the results in Mid February 2013 and also issue a Notification about the vacancies in the participating Public Sector Banks.
  • The Merit List of Successful Candidates in both the Common Written Exam(CWE) and Common Interview will be placed of the IBPS Offcial Website.
  • Depending upon the No of vacancies in each bank of his/her preference, a successful candidate will receive through a Computerized System One Offer from any of the Public Sector Banks.
  • Suppose some Candidates decides not the Join the allotted bank, In that case the vacancies will be filled from among the remaining candidates through specific Iterations.

 Please Note.....

  • It is clearly mentioned that No request regarding the Change in Date and Place of Common Interview will be entertained.
  • Candidates will have to produce the relevant Certificates and Documents in support of the Age, Nationality and Eligibility Criteria.
  • Merely Qualifying the Written Exam and Common Interview doesn't entitle for Employment in any of the participating PSB's.

Q 1) Who can appear for the IBPS PO Common Interview ?
ALL those candidates who have passed the IBPS PO CWE held in June 2012 can appear in the IBPS Common Interview. Approximately 61000 students have passed the IBPS PO Exam.
Q.2) How many vacancies are there in 19 Public Sector Banks ?
Although the exact number is not known, but it is expected that 15000 to 18000 vacancies will be filled in the next year.
Moreover the exact number will be known in Mid Feb, when IBPS will come with Notification regarding the Number of Vacancies in Each of the Participating Public Sector Banks.
Q. 3) How do I get Informed about the IBPS Common Interview ?

IBPS will send an Email and SMS to inform students about the Date, Time and Venue of the Common Interview.
